About Us

My name is Pam Martin and I am the owner/operator of Mystic Whiskers Cat Care of St. Petersburg.  I’m not your average pet sitter. I do things differently. To me pet sitting is more than just feeding & watering a pet. I approach pet sitting from a compassionate & intuitive perspective. My knowledge of cat behavior and the time I spend learning about your cat means they’re less stressed out and happier while you’re away. This also means you’re less stressed out while you’re away.  I understand how difficult it can be to find a pet sitter who truly cares about cats, pays attention to important details and is not rushed to get to their next appointment. Our cats deserve as much respect and love as other pets.

I believe that all animals are sentient, intelligent, spiritual beings. Animals have always been a major part of my life.  From showing my pony Misty in 4-H when I was in elementary school to more recently taking care of our diabetic senior cat Lakota. I have combined my passion for animals & my dream of owning my own business to create MWCC.

My husband and I share our home with our four spoiled rescued cats Finnick, Kili, Primrose and Maia.  We have lived in the Tampa Bay area for over 15 years.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Missouri State University.  As life long learner, I love learning as much as I can about cat behavior, holistic cat health & animal communication. 

Because Mystic Whiskers is owner operated, you know exactly who will be caring for your cat and your house the entire time. Some pet sitting services employ dozens of caretakers, which means it’s more likely that important information about your cat or home will slip through the cracks. If you’re leaving town and want the utmost confidence how your home and cat care will be handled while you’re away give me a call.

We are bonded and insured and have American Red Cross Cat & Dog First Aid certification. We are also a member of Keep St. Pete Local which is a organization of locally-owned, independent businesses.
